Autumn Newsletter 2023

Solar Farm Performance

In the previous quarter, July to September, production was slightly below projections by 0.77%. July was the worst performing month with unseasonably poor weather resulting in a 9.35% underperformance on projections. However, August and September exceeded expectations by 8.76% and 0.31% respectively. Despite varying sunlight levels, our sites operated well without any major technical issues.

Community Impact

In our most recent October round of community grant funding, HECE supported the Napton Environmental Action Team by funding a thermal imaging camera for surveying heat losses in local buildings.

Additionally we dedicated £2,500 each to the RSPCA Coventry for their Pet Food to Food Banks project and Hampton Manga Pre-school for crucial improvements to their outdoor area. HECE also contributed £3,600 towards establishing a new Community Fridge and Café in Bidford on Avon.

Applications are reviewed quarterly. If you, or an organisation you know are looking for extra funding support, click here to visit our Community Grant Funding Page.

Introducing our 'Solar Soft Loan' scheme

HECE are pleased to announce the launch of 'Solar Soft Loans' for community organisations and schools! Our aim is to help organisations that would not have the funds to do it themselves, to install solar panels, LED lighting and other energy saving measures.
